Buffalo should have a venue w/free apartment for bands to sleep in
Wildlife played over the weekend at Mohawk. They are tentatively playing again Jan 24th at Mohawk. The band is from Toronto and drove-in. They weren’t sure if they’d be staying (sleeping in the van) or driving home that night.
It made me think, why doesn’t Mohawk [or some concert venue] have an apartment upstairs where the band can crash for the night.
It’d be a differentiator for a band that is passing through Buffalo — free place to stay for the night? #awesome
Or we should get some crowdsurfing list going for bands to reach out to. We should also make some people available to be hit up by a band, to show off our city. Some of these bands arrive in the morning, and have no clue what to see or do, or where to eat. We should be welcoming them, ensuring they have an awesome time, because they’ll want to come back — and they’ll also rave about Buffalo to the rest of the world in their future travels.
